Great artwork!
Excellent soundtrack as well.
I think you guys did a fantastic job in 3 days!
I wish that it was a little more forgiving when you are setting things on fire. Sometimes it feels like you have to be in the EXACT perfect spot for it to work. And then it's a pain to reposition yourself until it works.
The ad at the beginning as also annoying. I have no problem with ads as long as they aren't timed, and forcing you to watch them. But when I started playing, the ad decided to start making sound, and I had to hear all about the new season of Dragonball Z during the intro.
Anyways, cool idea. And great work to the artists for making so much art and animation in such a short time!
Although I did have to turn down the graphics quite a bit. I have a gaming laptop, and this thing lagged like a beast on high quality.
I wish standing by the fire heated you up faster. I don't like being taken out of a game for 10 seconds just standing and waiting. It should be near instant (not realistic) but it keeps the action moving.

Well that art was supurb! The character art and the detailed drawings I think Jaxxy did all look great! I loved the smooth movements of the characters and their silly design :)
The ice was a little too plain looking considering that's mostly all we had to look at. But the firey end looked pretty good. So I wish the whole game was jazzed up a bit more like that was.
The music also stood out to me in this submission. Especially when you got to the boss battes. The music amped up, without sounding out of place. So that was well done.
But as far as gameplay when, this game was a little lacking. It was just the same thing over and over. And there were no puzzling bits where you had to really plan ahead which route you were going to take. If i ever hit rocks, then I could just walk away from it very easily, never really trapped.
The boss battle was also very anti climatic. All 3 times it was the exact same battle. I wish you would have atleast add a jump for the character. Then the second time you encounter the dragon he had a move that needed jumping, and it randomized which attack he did.
It might be a lot to ask in a 72 hour game, but it's a shame that a good idea like this with good design didn't have more of a challenge or sense of urgency. Perhaps the screen was always moving, and you have to keep up?

Aw, it was so disappointingly short!
I mean, the fact that this was made in 72 hours was AMAZING! You guys crammed a lot of great art and story into here!
I thought the idea of having one person do in game art, and the other do portraits and the opening scene was a fantastic idea! That way the art it both sections was consistent, and it really allowed you to open up a fun and interesting world :)
I was only just getting into the story when all of a sudden it was over. Don't get me wrong, this was excellent for 72 hours, I'm wowed! I just wish I could get more story here. Maybe the ability to use the sun people's powers.
Maybe a sequel is in order down the line? The Saving of Kuldren or something.
Great work you guys! Everything was perfect except the length :(
Props to everyone involved in this one!
Awesome, glad you like it :) yeah it was really short, but we propossed that, if we win, yes or yes will be a sequel, if we are in the top 3 we will see then, if not, sorry but no :P
Thanks a lot for the review
and good luck also to your time :)

Saucy
There was so much going on that I actually almost missed the original Loop in there. Once I picked it out (before the point where it does it near regularily) everything came together magically!
So familiar, yet completely new!
The old loops is a Newgrounds staple, and it's very interesting to see it flipped and spiced up like this! Props to you man, this is great.
Definately looking forward to seeing what Luis intends to use it for :)
There is no loop from the original tune. I've remade it (assuming you're talking about the beat) from scratch.
Thanks alot for the review!

Relaxing
The first time I heard this I was in search of a song for my new movie.
It had to be atleast semi space-like, and just sort of mid paced.
Right away the original stood out to me. So I checked out this remix, and BAM!
I knew that it would fit perfectly!
I loved just sitting there listening to it groove.
I listened to it through start to finish about 3 times, then stuck it in my movie.
Great work man, and thanks a lot!
oh yeah! Thanks!

Groovy
A really awesome piece.
Do you make music professionally, or is this just a hobby you have? Either way, great work. I can't wait to see more from you in the Portal!
The piece is very clean, and funky. Everything synches up perfectly.
Again, really a great piece of music.
P.S. You have two very talented sons ;)
Making music is just a hobby to me, but I sometimes work as a semipro musician - when I have the time, and play i several bands. Glad you enjoyed the piece :)
PS. Yes, my sons are the best :)

Clever
This is totally fucked up.
But I like it! Very creative man. A very solid and twisted piece of artwork. It's kinda odd how horrified and intrigued I am by this.
It's like Pinocchio Frankensteined himself.

Keep practicing
It just looks really rough. Your lines are pretty sketchy and inconsistent.
Point to note on skies, next time it's a nice blue sky out, take a look and you'll see the lighter colours are at the bottom. Just a simple tip ;)
For the blob character, the grey is a really boring colour choice. And it should look a little more blob like rather than just wrinkled where he's touching ground.
Note on your response to kirbyfighter12's review.
He was giving advice. You aren't going to make any friends here if you treat people poorly.
"while your stupid"
"Well, you're stupid."
Well, not while. You're for you are.

Not too bad
Don't get me wrong, this is a pretty funny idea. And I did quite enjoy the animation, but I think this had more potential. I was expecting the birds to discover that the weakness to Mario blocks is that you have to hit them from underneath. That concept is something that you could get creative with in a short like this.
This was over all well done, and kind of a cute little piece. But I think there was room for you to do more with it.
Good work, and I look forward to seeing more from you, because there is some skill here.

Best Minecraft video on Newgrounds
I was starting to lose faith in Minecraft parodies. It seemed like endless surprise creeper explosions, and that was about it.
But I really do love this little storyline you've set up here! The characters are treated more like adventurers in a real world setting, rather than people bumbling around in a video game.
There is some quality voice acting here, although Fart does get a little annoying. Both his voice and his dialogue actually. Its is good to have a mix of characters, but he can seem out of place at times.
The battle sequence was well done, and actually quite exciting. Trying to take down the creeper reminded me of Legolas trying to take down the orc with the explosives who suicide-charged the castle. Nerdy I know, but perhaps this was a throw back to the epic battle of Helms Deep?
There is a lot of potential in this series, and I look forward to future episodes!
Glad u liked it so much! As for Fart, I was going for this guy who has played way too much Call of Duty, BF, TF, L4D, etc. so he's supposed to be a little out of place since this isn't his gaming forte. Thus the whole tough-guy-wanna-be that does not fit into the MC world.

I MISSED YOU
Your style and overall smoothness in your animation gets better with everything you do! Excellent work my boy! I love your attention to detail. There is never a moment in this where I felt you were being skimpy on the animation, your characters are so vibrant and full of life!
I especially love your backgrounds. The lack of lines, and the crooked roofs and everything. It's just enough to look at without distracting, but providing a rich environment.
As always Tomar is the man, and he did a fantastic job!
At the end I was waiting on a big punchline or unexpected ending similar to the bear clobbering in A Bear Trap Mishap. But really this nice simple ending served the animation far better.
Great work! I'll stop slobbering over your work now, and give you some breathing space. Only for a little bit though. I'll be back soon enough...
Goat-Man, Goat-Man, Goat-Man... What a delight it is to see a review from the one and only. Hope you're well, buddy.
I do try to experiment every time I start a project. I've been wanting to achieve this sort of very bouncy, wacky sort of movement for a while. I started to attempt it in At The Office but I feel it comes into full swing here. I feel I owe that to the almighty Tomar; his voice is full of so much liveliness that it allowed me to echo that through the animation.
And sometimes I do cut corners with the animation when I feel like slacking, but I can't allow myself to and always go back and improve it. The backgrounds were all edited and improved last minute cos I didn't wanna settle for the ones I had done previously.
I'm a true believer in you can do anything if you set your mind on it. And I always think if it's gonna have ma name on it, I want it to be as good as it can be.
Thanks for the review! I hope you have some stuff in the works!
